I found this article to be funny in a way: Taiwan interior minister offers to resign http://www.usatoday.com/news/world/2004-04-04-taiwan_x.htm The funny part is the fourth paragraph: "It is a Taiwanese tradition for government and military officials to take responsibility for problems or mistakes and resign." The Associated Press assumed that since nobody in government here ever takes responsibility for mistakes, they'd better explain. I laughed 'till I cried (or vise-versa).
